For the Region of Waterloo, we conducted an in-depth engagement with Public Health and Paramedic Services to understand how equity, reconciliation, diversity, and inclusion (REDI) principles are experienced in practice and how they can be more effectively embedded across services. Through surveys and focus groups with staff and leadership, the work identified systemic, organizational, and operational barriers to engaging equity-deserving communities, alongside clear opportunities to strengthen coordination, training, data practices, and cross-team collaboration - providing the Region with actionable insights to support more equitable, responsive, and sustainable service delivery.​
